With just under a month to go until the launch of my Kickstarter campaign for The Tides That Reign, I’m happy to unveil the new cover for book two, Sparrows Sing of Dying.

Illustrator Maria Areta once again captures the dark tone and grandeur of the novel despite the intimate framing of the cover, as well as the fierce defiance of the depicted character, Queen Yiscel.
The second installment of The Tides That Reign suffered the most from a lackluster original cover, I think, which was the product of a rushed design without much forethought for readability.
With this redesign, I’m much more excited for this pivotal chapter in the series to be out in the world.
The full dust jacket design can be viewed below.
As a reminder, these gorgeous new visuals will debut with the Special Editions as part of my Kickstarter, which will include story outlines, concept art, map progressions, and more!
