I am pleased to announce that my beloved epic ‘The Tides That Reign’ will be re-launching this coming spring with a Kickstarter for new ‘Author Preferred Editions.’
This re-launch not only includes all-new covers for the series, but gives me the chance to present the books in a cohesive visual style that more closely aligns with the tone of the story and my original vision. The incredible @marosar_art, who made the beautiful character and scene artwork from the first two releases, will be crafting the new cover illustrations. I am ecstatic to have her at the helm, as I believe her past work for the series truly captures the feel of the sprawling tetralogy.
The upcoming Kickstarter will include revamped versions of Design of Darkness (book one) and Sparrows Sing of Dying (book two), with exclusive behind the scenes material, including the original story outlines, world notes, sprayed edges, and more. Additionally, the campaign will be the first opportunity for readers to get their hands on Book Three – Before the Ghost Sea, prior to it’s official release!

Switching to self-publishing mid-series has been a challenge, but it has not dampened my excitement for ‘The Tides That Reign’ saga. I believe this dark epic tale full of rebellion against tyranny, inspiration from South East Asian mythology, queer representation, and so much more deserves telling.
