This past Friday, the Kickstarter campaign for the launch of my series, The Tides That Reign, wrapped up after raising an incredible $7,959! Including late pledges – which will remain open until the end of today, Tuesday, March 31st – that total has risen to a staggering $8,249.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported my Kickstarter! This total blew past my expectations, and will help so much in recouping the damages caused by the original publisher.
Looking forward…
- Kickstarter will be sending out notices to collect pledges. Please check that your payment has gone through. If there’s an issue, please try to get it sorted out promptly! I believe you’ll be sent reminders for about a week. If you can’t get the issue fixed, feel free to send me a message and we can figure something else out
- I’ve sent out surveys for any relevant information I need from you. Please make sure you answer those!
- After pledges are collected, Kickstarter will send me my funds so I can get the ball rolling
- eBooks will be released first. Get ready to download those. I will be sending them out through a service called Bookfunnel, which will allow you to download the ebook in a few formats depending on your preferred device.
- In the meantime, I’ll order proofs from the printer to make sure everything about these special editions looks amazing! Once those have arrived and been approved, I’ll order the lot!
- Once those arrive all orders will start going out!
The Audiobook
As for the audiobook: expect this to be a longer process. I wasn’t sure if the campaign would hit this milestone, so I have yet to select a narrator. Once I’ve picked someone and a contract is signed, I can give a relative timeline for the record, editing, and distribution of the Design of Darkness audiobook!
I’m so excited to hear this book brought to life in audio format! So please bear with me as I explore this process for the very first time.
