Spring Book Festivals Galore!

Heyo!

Spring 2026 is well underway, which means book fairs are popping up all over the place like daisies! This season I will be participating in two book fairs in the Northern California region: the Sacramento Book Festival and the Bay Area Book Fest.

This is the first year I’ve ever participated in any such festivals, so I’ve been having a fun time gathering advice about what to bring and what to expect. Regardless of sales, I’m sure it’s going to be a blast and I can’t wait to be around so many book folks.

Sacramento Book Festival

First up is the Sacramento Book Festival this Sunday, April 19th from 10 am to 4 pm. Hosted at the Scottish Rite Center, it’s expected to be the biggest year yet for this growing bibliophile gathering, with an estimated attendance of 5,000 people!

You’ll be able to find me in Memorial Hall along Stage Row at booth M159!

Stop by for a chat or a pre-release copy of Before the Ghost Sea, book three in The Tides That Reign.

Bay Area Book Fest

An outdoor space with wooden bookshelves around which several people are browsing and selecting books. There is an old colonial building in the distance with a bell tower.

The Bay Area Book Fest follows on Sunday, May 31st from 11 am to 5 pm! Stretching across Downtown Berkeley along Allston Way, this outdoor Bookworm Block Party hosts roughly 25,000 visitors each year, making it one of the biggest events of its type in the state!

I don’t have a booth number, but I’ll be sure to keep you all posted!

If you’re in the area during either of these events, please drop on by to say hello! They are sure to be a good time regardless of whether you’re on the hunt for your next favorite read, or just want to spend some time with fellow booklovers.
